The Time is Now...

It’s a sunny morning in Savannah as I watch the light filter through the trees,

I’m sitting at my desk listening to the Jeff Tweedy album Together At Last.

Last night we returned from a holiday road trip.

We left Savannah on the 17th, drove to see Andrew in Gulfport, MS then drove to Dallas... Santa Fe, ended up in Breckenridge for Christmas with family then back East through Topeka, Louisville, stayed overnight in Nashville and finally made our way home.

All the driving, which I’ve come to recognize as a meditative experience, changes my state of mind… along with the podcasts and thoughts of a new year it all reminds me [again] of how I’d like to put these experiences somewhere to share.

Fortunately, I believe, life has balanced out in a way that I have some mental space to write and share again. My original blog started on Blogger in early 2004 - I’m actually shocked that it’s still up. Before Facebook I would post photos of my buddies and they would all login to comment. Unfortunately somehow most of the first 2+ years of content was lost when blogspot changed formats.

Starting something new has always been my least favorite segment of a new venture... yes, I appreciate the thrill of the launch but for some reason I dislike that uncomfortable timespan it requires to get acclimated and on track.

Though I know very well that I’m ready to actually commit to sharing on here.
